EXPERIENCE
Colin joined Allied in 2002, after serving as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of Washington and a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney. Since joining the Washington Bar in 1993, Colin has tried over one hundred cases before juries, judges, administrative hearing officers and labor arbitrators. Colin maintains his heaviest workload in the area of arbitrations, representing employers in discipline, discharge and contract interpretation cases. Colin also spends a significant amount of time providing preventive counseling to clients to avoid or minimize the risk of litigation. In that capacity, Colin has counseled employers on discipline and discharge issues, leave and disability accommodation issues, unfair labor practice issues, discrimination and harassment, workplace investigation and employment policies. Colin has frequently assisted employers in responding to charges of discrimination filed with the EEOC or Washington Human Rights Commission.
